Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto parchment paper for easy handling.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Add slices of prosciutto on top, evenly spaced.
- Drizzle a little olive oil over the assembled pizza.
- Slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and let rest briefly.
- Slice and serve hot with optional garnishes like crushed red pepper flakes or additional herbs.
