Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 strips crispy bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: jalapeños, pickles, or your favorite toppings
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato fries in vegetable oil and season with salt. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef or turkey, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through, seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Once the fries are ready, transfer them to a large serving platter. Spoon the cooked meat evenly over the fries. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top. Return to the oven for 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with sour cream. Garnish with chopped green onions and optional toppings like jalapeños or pickles. Serve immediately for the best crispy, loaded experience.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, consider double frying or using an air fryer.
- You can prepare the meat topping ahead of time and reheat before serving.
- Customize your toppings with additional ingredients like jalapeños or pickles for more flavor variation.
