Discover a quick and flavorful Teriyaki Chicken Stir-Fry that can be ready in just 25 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights, this nutritious dish combines tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a savory teriyaki sauce, offering a delightful meal that doesn’t compromise on taste or quality.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas, carrots)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing your chicken into thin strips and chopping your vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger to infuse the stir-fry with authentic flavors.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining oil. Sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until just tender but still crisp.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the teriyaki sauce over the stir-fry. Toss everything together to coat evenly and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Serve the hot stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Optionally, sprinkle with extra sesame seeds or chili flakes for extra flavor.
