  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)

    • 3 tbsp ketchup
    • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
    • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, honey, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan or shape into a loaf on a baking sheet. Spread the glaze evenly over the top.
  4. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Brush this glaze over the meatloaf before baking.
  5. Bake for 45-60 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Baste with additional glaze during the last 10 minutes for caramelization.
