Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Whisk warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl; let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Incorporate melted butter and eggs into the yeast mixture, gradually adding flour and salt until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm area for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, shape into rolls, place on a greased baking tray, and allow to rise for 30-45 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Store rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
- Lighting can affect the yeast; ensure a warm, draft-free area for optimal rising.
