- 2 quarts of fresh strawberries
- 5 cups granulated sugar
- 1 box of Sure Jell (pectin)
- 1 cup water
- Optional: 1 tablespoon lemon juice for added flavor
Instructions
- Wash and prepare the strawberries by removing green tops and blemished parts.
- Mash the strawberries using a potato masher or fork to your desired consistency.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed strawberries, sugar, and Sure Jell; stir until dissolved. Add lemon juice if desired and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Pour the jam mixture into sterilized glass jars, leaving space at the top for expansion.

- Your homemade jam can be refrigerated for up to three weeks or frozen for up to one year.
