Spooky Snack Eyeballs: Easy Halloween Treat! Create creepy, realistic eyeballs with simple ingredients for a fun and spooky Halloween party. Perfect for entertaining kids and guests with a ghoulishly delightful treat that adds a creepy touch to your holiday celebration.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12-15 eyeballs

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese (or cream cheese for extra creaminess)
  • 1 cup of cooked, seasoned ground beef or turkey
  • Olives (black or green) for the pupils
  • Small cherry or grape tomatoes for the sclera
  • Red food coloring or ketchup for blood effect
  • Cooked bacon bits or crispy fried onions for added texture
  • Small dessert or edible candies (optional) for extra creepy effects

Instructions

  1. Start by mixing the mozzarella or cream cheese with cooked ground meat until well combined. Divide the mixture into small, round shapes resembling eyeballs. Use your hands or a small cookie scoop to get uniform sizes.
  2. Carefully press an olive into the center of each ball to create the pupil. Add a small amount of red food coloring or ketchup around the olive to mimic blood vessels for realism.
  3. Slice cherry or grape tomatoes in half and place each half on top of the meat mixture to resemble the eye’s sclera. Use a dab of mayo or cheese if needed to hold the tomato in place.
  4. Use a toothpick or small brush to gently draw red food coloring or ketchup around the eyeballs to mimic bloodshot veins. Sprinkle crispy bacon bits or fried onions around for a bloody, disheveled look.

Notes

  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Assemble just before serving to keep the eyeballs fresh and realistic.
  • You can add edible candies for extra creepy effects or decoration.
