Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 10-12 cookies)
- Additional whole Oreos for decoration
- Food coloring (optional, for decorating)
- Halloween-themed sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in crushed Oreos. Reserve some whole Oreos for decoration.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, spreading evenly. Decorate the top with whole Oreos and sprinkles if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting. Decorate with icing or whipped cream to create spooky designs if desired.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
- For longer storage, freeze the brownies for up to 3 months.
- To add extra festive flair, incorporate food coloring into the icing or decorate with themed toppings.
