  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders

Ingredients

  • Mini slider buns
  • Boneless chicken breasts, sliced into thin cutlets
  • Marinara sauce
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Eggs for breading
  • Panko bread crumbs or Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional spooky toppings like black olives or edible googly eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare chicken cutlets and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three shallow dishes: one with beaten eggs, one with bread crumbs, and a small bowl with grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Dunk each chicken piece into the egg, then coat with bread crumbs and Parmesan. Repeat as needed.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry breaded chicken until golden on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  5. Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of each slider bun. Place a cooked chicken cutlet on top.
  6. Add a slice of mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan. For spooky flair, garnish with black olives or googly eyes.
  7. Place sliders on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese melts and bubbly. Serve hot with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

  • Assemble sliders just before serving to keep buns crispy.
  • Reuse leftovers within 2 days; reheat in oven for best crispiness.
  • You can substitute panko with almond flour for gluten-free version.
