Ingredients
- Mini slider buns
- Boneless chicken breasts, sliced into thin cutlets
- Marinara sauce
- Fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Eggs for breading
- Panko bread crumbs or Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Optional spooky toppings like black olives or edible googly eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare chicken cutlets and season with salt and pepper.
- Set up three shallow dishes: one with beaten eggs, one with bread crumbs, and a small bowl with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Dunk each chicken piece into the egg, then coat with bread crumbs and Parmesan. Repeat as needed.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry breaded chicken until golden on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
- Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of each slider bun. Place a cooked chicken cutlet on top.
- Add a slice of mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan. For spooky flair, garnish with black olives or googly eyes.
- Place sliders on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese melts and bubbly. Serve hot with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- Assemble sliders just before serving to keep buns crispy.
- Reuse leftovers within 2 days; reheat in oven for best crispiness.
- You can substitute panko with almond flour for gluten-free version.
