Ingredients
- Pre-made pizza dough or crescent roll dough β 1 package
- Shredded mozzarella cheese β 2 cups
- Black olives β sliced, for the eyes
- Cherry tomatoes β optional, for decoration
- Marinara sauce β Β½ cup
- Olive oil β 1 tablespoon
- Flour β for dusting the surface
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll out the pizza dough to about ΒΌ inch thickness. Use a round cutter or a glass to cut out mini circles, approximately 3 inches in diameter. Place the dough circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over each dough circle. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, leaving some space at the top for the ‘head’ of the ghost. Add a small amount of sauce at the top if you want extra ‘hair.’
- Place two slices of black olives on each pizza for the eyes. Use small pieces of olive or cheese to create facial expressions, and optionally decorate with cherry tomatoes for added color.
- Brush the edges of the dough lightly with olive oil. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the faces with additional ingredients like mini pepperoni or different cheeses for fun expressions.
- Using gluten-free dough is a great alternative for gluten sensitivities.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 5-7 minutes.
