Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (plus additional for decoration)
- Optional: Halloween-themed sprinkles or candy eyes for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Whisk until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies. Reserve some Oreos for topping, if desired.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
- Once cooled, decorate with Halloween-themed sprinkles, candy eyes, or piped icing for a spooky effect. Add the reserved Oreos on top for extra flair.
Notes
- For extra decoration, add Halloween-themed sprinkles or candy eyes on top.
- Use gluten-free flour and gluten-free Oreos if making gluten-free brownies.
- Adjust baking time based on your oven to prevent overbaking.
