- 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Optional garnishes: chopped green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Combine ground meat, bread crumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly and form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Place meatballs into the crockpot. Pour sweet chili sauce over and add soy sauce and ginger.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until cooked through and coated in sauce.
- Gently stir to coat meatballs in the sauce. Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- You can use ground chicken or vegetarian meat substitutes as a healthier or plant-based alternative.
- For gluten-free options, substitute bread crumbs with gluten-free bread crumbs or almond meal.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently before serving.
