- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup sliced bell peppers
- ½ cup sliced mushrooms
- ½ cup sliced black olives
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt. Combine the yeast mixture with the flour and add olive oil. Knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).
- Allow the dough to rise for an hour, then preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface, transfer it to a pizza peel or baking sheet, and spread marinara sauce over the dough.
- Top with mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, mushrooms, and black olives.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Let the pizza cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.

- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For optimal reheating, return slices to the oven to maintain crispness.
