Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or rosemary) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and dry the cauliflower. Remove the outer leaves.
- Cut two 1-inch thick steaks from the center of the cauliflower and save the outer pieces for roasting as florets.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush onto both sides of the cauliflower steaks.
- Place the seasoned steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and tender.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately, enjoying your delicious meal!
Notes
- Select a firm cauliflower head for better texture.
- Do not overcrowd the baking sheet for even roasting.
- Feel free to adjust seasonings to suit your taste.
- For extra crispiness, broil the cauliflower steaks in the last few minutes.
- Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
