Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley, garlic powder
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or into a loaf pan. Shape into a loaf shape for even baking.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the meatloaf for about 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Brush additional ketchup or BBQ sauce on top during the last 10 minutes for a crispy glaze.
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes or a green salad.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add grated cheese or diced vegetables to the mixture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
- Reheat in the microwave or oven for best results.
