A quick and flavorful homemade butter chicken with tender chicken simmered in a creamy tomato sauce, ideal for a satisfying dinner.

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add tomato sauce, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, simmer for 10 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
