Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of strong brewed coffee or espresso
- 1/2 cup of milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice (or a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Additional pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- Start by brewing a strong cup of coffee or a shot of espresso using your preferred method.
- In a small saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice. Warm over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Froth the milk using a milk frother, by shaking vigorously in a jar, or heating and whisking until frothy.
- Pour the warm pumpkin mixture into your brewed coffee, stirring well to blend flavors. Adjust the amount based on your spice and sweetness preferences.
- Pour the pumpkin-spiced coffee into a mug, top with frothed milk, and garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for a festive touch.
Notes
- Use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor and texture.
- Adjust sweetness with additional maple syrup or honey as desired.
- Try different milk options like almond, oat, or coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
- Add more pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for a stronger spice flavor.
- Enhance flavor with a splash of flavored syrup such as vanilla or caramel for extra indulgence.
