Scale
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: chopped parsley or other herbs for flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan or shape it into a traditional loaf on a baking sheet. Spread ketchup on top for a baked glaze.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding grated cheese or herbs to the meat mixture.
- Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- For longer storage, freeze slices and reheat before serving.
