Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, basil, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually incorporate the yeast mixture and olive oil, kneading until the dough becomes smooth.
- Once the dough has risen (approximately 1 hour), turn it onto a floured surface. Roll it out to your desired thickness.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Spread a generous layer of tomato sauce over the rolled-out dough and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
- Add your favorite toppings creatively and generously.
- Carefully place your topped pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat slices in a hot skillet for a crispy crust or in the microwave for a quick meal.
- Experiment with different cheese blends and toppings for unique flavors.
