Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (or crushed oats for a healthier option)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Ketchup or BBQ sauce for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, bread crumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix until well incorporated but avoid overmixing.
- Lightly grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, evenly portion the meat mixture into the muffin cups, pressing lightly to shape into mini loaves.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). During the last 5 minutes, brush with ketchup or BBQ sauce if desired.
- Let the muffins rest for a few minutes before removing from the tin. Serve warm, garnished with herbs or vegetables of choice.
Notes
- For low-carb options, substitute bread crumbs with almond flour or crushed pork rinds.
- Adding chopped herbs or shredded cheese can enhance flavor.
- Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized muffins.
