Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley or herbs for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, seasoned breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, avoiding overmixing.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread ketchup over the top of the meatloaf and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing, allowing juices to redistribute for a tender, flavorful slice.
