- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased baking dish.
- Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to make the glaze. Spread half over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove from oven, spread the remaining glaze over the top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
- You can substitute gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
- If using ground turkey or chicken, increase cook time slightly.
