Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, folding gently until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Add an extra handful of chocolate chips for a richer chocolate flavor.
- Use overripe bananas for a sweeter, more flavorful bread. <li-Allow the bread to cool completely for cleaner slices.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
- Freeze slices for longer storage and reheat in an air fryer or oven for moistness.
