  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Blue food coloring (optional)
  • White chocolate chips or candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and a few drops of blue food coloring if desired.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Shape dough into balls and place them on the baking sheet, pressing a white chocolate chip or candy eye onto each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
