  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ¾ cup barbecue sauce, plus extra for glazing
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon into the meat mixture.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf in a greased pan or on a baking sheet. Brush generously with barbecue sauce.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  5. During the last 10 minutes, brush additional barbecue sauce on top for a glazed finish.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
