- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- ¾ cup barbecue sauce, plus extra for glazing
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon into the meat mixture.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf in a greased pan or on a baking sheet. Brush generously with barbecue sauce.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- During the last 10 minutes, brush additional barbecue sauce on top for a glazed finish.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle shredded cheese and bacon on top during the last few minutes of baking.
- Use gluten-free bread crumbs and barbecue sauce for gluten-free options.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
