Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large head romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
- 1 cup croutons
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by mixing olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then rub the mixture on the chicken breasts. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side until cooked through. Let it rest before slicing.
- Wash and chop the romaine lettuce, placing it in a large bowl. Add croutons and Parmesan cheese to the bowl.
- Thinly slice the rested grilled chicken and add it to the bowl with the lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan cheese.
- Pour Caesar dressing over the salad, tossing gently to coat all ingredients evenly. Serve immediately with lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for extra flavor if time allows.
- Use fresh romaine lettuce and high-quality Parmesan for the best taste.
- Consider making your own Caesar dressing for a richer flavor.
- Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking the chicken.
- Serve dressed salads immediately to prevent wilting.
