Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (about 1 lb) of pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Divide the pizza dough into 8-10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope about 6 inches long.
- Tie each dough rope into a simple knot and tuck the ends underneath. Arrange them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Combine melted butter, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Mix well. Optional: add grated Parmesan cheese.
- Brush each knot generously with the garlic butter mixture. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. For a spicy kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes before baking.
- Remove from oven and brush with additional garlic butter if desired. Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze individually wrapped in plastic for up to 1 month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes for crispy results.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle additional herbs such as basil or thyme before baking.
- Use fresh garlic and high-quality butter for the best aroma and flavor.
