Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (226 grams) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups (300 grams) granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ¾ cup (90 grams) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (45 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (180 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra fudginess)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using, for extra fudginess and flavor.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for longer freshness.
Notes
- For extra fudginess, add more chocolate chips or reduce baking time slightly.
- Ensure not to overmix the batter to keep brownies tender and moist.
- If using gluten-free flour, substitute in a 1:1 ratio.
- To keep brownies soft, store with a slice of bread in the container.
