- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, water, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add sugar, salt, spices, pumpkin, egg, and melted butter. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 pieces.
- Shape into rolls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before baking.
- These rolls freeze well; reheat in the oven for a warm treat.
