Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
  3. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down dough and divide into 8 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  5. Mix minced garlic with a tablespoon of melted butter and brush over the rolls. Top with chopped parsley.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

  • Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
