Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down dough and divide into 8 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Mix minced garlic with a tablespoon of melted butter and brush over the rolls. Top with chopped parsley.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese to the garlic butter.
- Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
- You can freeze unbaked rolls and bake them later for convenience.
