Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) ground chicken
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
- Form the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add shredded mozzarella and stir until melted.
- Return meatballs to the skillet, coat with sauce, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot with pasta, rice, or vegetables.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh garlic and high-quality Parmesan cheese.
- Avoid overmixing the meatball mixture to keep the meatballs tender.
- Ensure oil is hot before searing for a crisp exterior.
- Simmer gently to keep meatballs moist and flavorful.
