Ingredients
Scale
- 10 fresh chili peppers (jalapeño or habanero for extra heat)
- 5 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 1 cup vinegar (white or apple cider)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
Instructions
- Start by washing and chopping your fresh chili peppers and garlic. Make sure to de-stem and slice the chili peppers.
- In a medium-sized pot, combine the chopped chili peppers, garlic, and a cup of water. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until soft.

- Pour the hot sauce into a cool jar. Let it cool to room temperature before sealing and storing in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Store in a sealed glass jar or bottle for best freshness.
- Shake well before each use to mix settled ingredients.
- Customize your heat level by adjusting the type and amount of chili peppers.
