Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a healthier option)
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp ketchup (plus extra for topping)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, bread crumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture onto parchment paper or lightly greased foil. Shape into an oval loaf that fits your air fryer basket. Press firmly to ensure it holds together during cooking.
- Preheat the Ninja Air Fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Place the shaped meatloaf into the air fryer basket. Cook for 25-30 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 160°F (71°C). Brush additional ketchup on top during the last 5 minutes for a glaze.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve hot.
Notes
- Ensure bread crumbs and eggs are adequately added to bind the mixture.
- Shaping the meatloaf well helps it cook evenly and stay intact.
- Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes for crispy edges.
