Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef (or turkey for a healthier twist)
- 1 package Stove Top stuffing mix (prepared according to package directions)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup ketchup or barbecue sauce (plus extra for topping)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for richness)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme for flavor (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, prepared stove top stuffing, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
- Transfer the mixture onto a baking dish or loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Shape into a loaf form.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of ketchup or barbecue sauce over the top.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease while maintaining moisture.
- Cover with foil during baking to retain moisture, then uncover to crisp the topping.
- Let rest before slicing for juicier, better-flavored slices.
