- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced thin
- 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Place sliced beef, peppers, onion, and garlic into the slow cooker.
- Mix soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pour over ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- Optional: Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the sauce during last 30 minutes to thicken.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- You can substitute sliced chicken or pork for beef.
- Adjust spice levels with red pepper flakes to taste.
- To keep the dish gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce.
