- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated tortellini
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil and grated Parmesan for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat. Cook sausage until browned; remove and set aside.
- Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add tortellini and cooked sausage; cook until tortellini is tender (about 5 minutes).
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.

- Use the highest quality sausage for richer flavor.
- Feel free to add spinach or kale for extra greens.
