- 8 oz of mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- Shredded chocolate or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare a strong cup of brewed coffee and let it cool; add coffee liqueur if desired.
- Whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth and creamy.
- Dip ladyfingers quickly into the coffee mixture and layer in your serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Sprinkle cocoa powder and chocolate chips over the mascarpone layer.
- Repeat layering with remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone, cocoa, and chocolate.
- Dust the top with extra cocoa powder and garnish with shredded chocolate.
- Chill for a few minutes to meld flavors before serving. Serve immediately or refrigerate briefly for a chilled treat.
