Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, sugar, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently to evenly distribute throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- If desired, substitute chocolate chips with nuts or dried fruits for a different flavor.
- Use very ripe bananas for a sweeter, more flavorful bread.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
