A quick and satisfying low-carb alternative to Big Macs, using lettuce leaves as wraps for flavorful ground beef and classic toppings.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 wraps

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
  • 8 large romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced tomato
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp relish (or finely chopped pickles)
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Optional: sliced red onion, sliced pickles for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned (5–7 mins). Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 1 more minute.
  3. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mustard, relish, and mayonnaise for the burger sauce.
  4. Wipe out skillet and return it to low heat. Place 2–3 lettuce leaves in each wrap.
  5. Spoon 1/4 of the beef mixture onto each wrap. Top with cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, and a drizzle of sauce.
  6. Garnish with optional onion or pickles. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili powder or smoked paprika to the beef.
  • Lettuce wraps are best served fresh — assembly just before eating prevents sogginess.
  • .make ahead: prep toppings and sauce in advance for faster assembly.
