Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional but recommended)
Instructions
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the rolled oats and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined and slightly sticky. For extra sweetness, consider adding a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a walnut, and slightly flatten each to resemble a mini donut shape.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden, or use an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes for a crispy exterior.
- Once cooked, optionally dust with cinnamon or drizzle with honey. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can add cinnamon, nutmeg, or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freeze for up to a month; reheat in an air fryer or microwave before serving.
