  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Sauté onions and garlic until translucent, then add mushrooms and cook until tender. Cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, bread crumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix in the sautéed mushroom mixture and shredded Swiss cheese thoroughly.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
