- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 4 slices of ham
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spread Dijon mustard over the pastry, then layer ham slices and shredded cheese evenly.
- Fold edges slightly to create a border. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- While baking, fry eggs sunny side up in a skillet with a little butter. Brush pastry with milk before baking for a shiny finish.
- Remove pastry from oven, top each with a fried egg, garnish with herbs, and serve hot.
