Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Chopped nuts (optional)
- Candy toppings or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
- Add remaining batter on top, smoothing it out. Dollop the rest of the caramel sauce over the top and swirl with a toothpick for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Optional: Top with chopped nuts or colorful candies before baking for added crunch and visual appeal.
- For a richer flavor, sprinkle extra chocolate chips or caramel on top after baking.
