- 1 package of maraschino cherries with stems (about 20 cherries)
- 1 cup of smooth peanut butter or almond butter
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup of orange candy melts or orange chocolate chips
- 1 cup of dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Optional: green decorating icing or candy for leaves
Instructions
- Drain maraschino cherries thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Fill each cherry with a small spoonful of the peanut butter mixture and replace the stem if removed. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Melt orange candy melts and shape into pumpkin forms, then set on parchment paper to set.
- Insert filled cherries into the pumpkin-shaped candies and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Melt dark chocolate until smooth. Dip each pumpkin and cherry combo into the melted chocolate and place on parchment paper.
- Decorate with green icing or candy for stems and leaves as desired. Let set at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
