Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar (additional for cheesecake layer)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (additional)
- Optional: chocolate chips, berries, or nuts for extra flavor
Instructions
- Begin by combining the melted unsalted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this to your wet mixture, stirring until just combined. For an extra chocolatey touch, fold in chocolate chips.
- In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, additional sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. This will create a luscious cheesecake layer.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the batter. Top with the remaining brownie batter and sprinkle additional chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for a richer cheesecake layer.
- Chill the baked brownies for at least an hour to allow flavors to meld.
- Customize with your favorite toppings like crushed cookies, caramel swirls, or fresh fruit.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
