Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
Instructions
- Mix the melted butter and sugar in a large bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely.
- Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the cooled brownie layer. Dot with fresh blackberries and gently press them into the surface.
- Optional: Bake the assembled brownies at 350°F (175°C) for another 15 minutes to set the cheesecake. Alternatively, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use ripe, juicy blackberries for the best flavor.
- Ensure the brownies cool completely before adding the cheesecake layer for clean slicing.
- Chill the assembled brownies for at least 2 hours for optimal cheesecake texture.
- Add your favorite toppings like chocolate chips or chopped nuts for extra flavor and crunch.
