  • Total Time: 35-40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • Ranch or aioli for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and peel the potatoes, then cut into evenly-sized fries. For easier prep, use a vegetable slicer or spiralizer.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread seasoned fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden. Alternatively, cook in a preheated air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. Once cooked, garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot with ranch or aioli for dipping.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to control spice level.
  • For extra crispiness, ensure fries are spread out in a single layer while baking or air frying.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best crispiness.
