Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by slicing the chicken breasts into thin strips. Season them generously with Cajun seasoning, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cook the fettuccine pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and add unsalted butter. Stir well and simmer gently. Incorporate grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Add cooked chicken back into the skillet, mixing with the sauce. Toss in the cooked fettuccine, ensuring itβs coated evenly. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot, optionally with crusty bread or a light salad.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the creamiest sauce.
- Adjust spice level by adding more Cajun seasoning or cayenne pepper.
- For a creamier sauce, add a splash of cream cheese during cooking.
- Slicing the chicken uniformly ensures even cooking.
