Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups of milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree
- 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
- Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
- Whipped cream and extra pumpkin pie spice for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk everything together until well blended and smooth.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat. Warm the mixture, stirring constantly, until steaming hot but not boiling to allow flavors to meld.
- Pour the hot pumpkin spice milk into your favorite mug. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice for presentation. Optionally, add a cinnamon stick or caramel drizzle for extra flavor.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- Reheat gently on the stove or microwave before serving.
- Adjust sweetness to taste with more honey or syrup.
- For a richer flavor, stir in a spoonful of cream cheese or mascarpone before serving.
