- 1 lb Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated tortellini
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook sausage slices over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until softened.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Stir in tortellini, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook until tortellini is tender.
- Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and cooked sausage, simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute spinach with kale or other greens.
- For spicier flavor, add red pepper flakes.
