Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, sliced
  • 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated tortellini
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook sausage slices over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until softened.
  3. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in tortellini, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook until tortellini is tender.
  5. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and cooked sausage, simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Serve hot.

  • You can substitute spinach with kale or other greens.
